Yegna: the all-female band bring girl power to Ethiopia
Through songs, radio drama and their own YouTube channel, Yegna champion women's rights across Ethiopia, where many young women never get the chance to go to secondary school. Last year, the band lost its UK aid funding after a negative press campaign, but they remain determined to press home their message. The Guardian went to Addis Ababa to find them still inspiring young girls to assert their right to education and say no to child marriage Subscribe to The Guardian ► http://ift.tt/16bR3Lu Support the Guardian ► http://ift.tt/2xBWIJe Sign up for the Guardian documentaries newsletter ► http://ift.tt/2feoDdN The Guardian ► http://ift.tt/1AFLGzy Playlists: Guardian documentaries ► http://bit.ly/GDNdocs Guardian VR ► http://bit.ly/GDNVR Guardian Features ► http://bit.ly/GDNfeatures Anywhere but Westminster ► http://bit.ly/ABWseries Anywhere but Washington ► http://bit.ly/ABWUSseries Owen Jones meets ► http://bit.ly/CorbynJones Guardian Animations & Explanations ►http://is.gd/explainers The Guardian YouTube network: Guardian News ► http://ift.tt/1J9JUwL Owen Jones talks ► http://bit.ly/subsowenjones Guardian Football ► http://ift.tt/1yECE17 Guardian Science and Tech ► http://ift.tt/16bR3Ly Guardian Sport ► http://bit.ly/GDNsport Guardian Culture ► http://ift.tt/16bR6H2
